At Future Focused, we believe students have unlimited potential for success. Given the tremendous pressure to achieve very high standards in order to get into college, students need often need additional support. We give students the tools and guidance that are necessary to take their academic performance to the next level.
High school students need to develop a sense of ownership over their school performance and their college plans. By motivating students to set their own realistic short-term and long-term goals, Future Focused facilitates the development of responsibility and plants the seeds for bigger dreams. Our students experience a sense of accomplishment that fuels them to strive for excellence in all future endeavors.
the story
Future Focused was founded by Jennifer Connellan and Anne Luke who first met as students at Santa Margarita High School. The women reconnected in 2003 when they finished graduate school. After discussing their experiences in the psychology field, Jennifer and Anne realized they had a common vision of creating a new service for teenagers; one that would bridge education and psychology. Thus, Future Focused was established.
With its innovative and popular approach with teenagers, Future Focused experienced tremendous success very early on. Students who were coming in with GPAs below the 2.0 level were finishing the program with A/B averages! These results spread quickly throughout the South Orange County community and before long, Future Focused expanded.
Now home to cutting-edge tutoring, college counseling, and SAT /ACT Prep services, Future Focused has become a true fixture in the education community. The atmosphere is such that students and parents alike remark about “how comfortable” it is and how the students “actually like to come to their tutoring sessions”. Connellan and Luke are proud of what they’ve created and look forward to continuing to help students achieve their dreams for the future.
